Introducing my latest acquisition, the Corvette! The C4 corvette is one of those cars that’s been on my list since I was a teen. I remember seeing these cars in the 80’s and 90’s and dreaming of owning one someday.
It’s a little rough around the edges, but being a C4 corvette, it has zero rust, and with just 68,000 miles on the odometer, it’s got plenty of potential.
I’ve been told it’s been sitting around in storage for the last 9 years, but I suspect it’s more like 16 years as the seller described importing it when you could pick them up for $3,500 to fill space in a container – which sounds to me around the time of the GFC in 2008. The previous owner has a business that specialised in importing and restoring Fords from the US.
As far as practicality goes, this car has to be one of the least practical cars ever to hit the road. I has no boot but a small shelf under the tonneau cover where the roof folds down and instead of a glove box, there’s a protruding plastic box that’s apparently for crash safety – yikes!
