I ordered this car cover from everyone’s favourite chines marketplace a couple of months ago. The tracking status spent over a month between leaving China and awaiting customs clearance in Sydney.
It fits the car quite well although it is much longer than anticipated. The SLC measures 4740mm in length so I thought going for a 5000mm length car cover would leave just enough slack for a comfortable fit.
As you can see from the photo above, there’s just way too much slack. This cover must be closer to 5500mm.
I’m still quite pleased with it despite this. It tucks in nice under the front and rear bumpers and I’m hopeful this should make it wind proof when we get some of those gale force winds we regularly experience in Sydney.
With my of cover I would tuck the cover up into the wheel wells to stop the cover from flying off.
One neat feature of this cover is that it comes with a zip up panel on the side to open the door without taking the cover off. I can see this being very useful as I often find myself needing to grab something from the car while it’s resting.
I found it funny that in the original ad listing for this cover they described this as “take off the clothes without taking off the clothes”. 🤣🤣🤣. I’m sure it was lost in translation.
If I were to order this cover again for the SLC I think I would go for the 480x180x150cm version. I didn’t order this initially because I thought the 5cm slack might not be enough as my when I bought a cover previously that was 490cm it didn’t quite fit and I had to return it.
