Four weeks, two kids, six suitcases and one very oversized Mercedes. From the Colosseum to the Ferrari factory floor, Tuscan hairpins to the Amalfi bus wars, our Italian road trip delivered ancient cities, supercar shrines, an unreasonable volume of gelato and a fair bit of chaos we hadn’t planned for. Including the F1 simulator lap that definitely should have earned me a Scuderia contract.
